Accident Over Long Weekend
Soon after the last customer left on Victoria Day after Marilu’s Hip Hop Fitness class, a Honda Pilot crashed into the side of Sunberry.
Julia and I were standing about 10 feet away when it happened. There was a loud explosion sound combined with shattered glass. Or, “a grand piano dropped from the second floor” as Julia described it.
No One Was Hurt, Studio Won’t Collapse
The 92 year old passenger in the car had a slight high blood pressure afterwards. But, luckily, no one was hurt.
The wall opposite to the mirrors is structurally damaged and likely needs to be replaced.
Julia’s civil engineer friend that happened to be nearby visited shortly after the accident said the rest of the studio is structurally sound, we just have to seal of the back section while the repair takes place.
Class Almost As Usual
We will be temporary operating at a reduced class size (15 people/class) until repair is completed. All classes on the schedule are up & running 😉 Sorry ladies, no excuses!
Please reserve your spot ahead of time to avoid congestion. Thank you in advance for understanding!
